Privacy Policy

Sajustory is operated by KAX (“we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, where it goes, and how long we keep it. We try to keep things simple, because the data flow is simple.

1. What we collect

• Birth data you enter: year, month, day, hour/minute (if known), calendar type (solar/lunar), and gender. For the compatibility reading, the same data for two people.
• Email address: only the address you enter at Gumroad checkout. We use it to match your payment to your reading session.
• Payment metadata from Gumroad: sale ID, purchased product, and timestamp. We do not receive your card number.
• Server logs: standard request logs from our hosting provider (Vercel) — IP address, user agent, request path. Used for security and debugging only.

We do not require an account, and we do not collect your real name, address, or any other identity document.

2. Why we collect it

• Birth data is needed to compute the Saju chart and to send to the AI model that writes your reading.
• The email and Gumroad sale ID are needed to confirm that a payment belongs to the reading session in front of you, and to prevent the same payment from being reused.
• Server logs are kept short-term to detect abuse and to debug errors.

3. Who processes the data

The Service runs on a small set of trusted providers:

We do not sell or share your data with anyone outside this list, and we do not use any analytics or advertising tracker on this site.

4. How long we keep it

• Birth data: not persisted in our database. It travels through the request to compute the chart and prompt the AI, and is then discarded.
• Email + Gumroad sale ID: stored in Upstash Redis with a 24-hour TTL, used solely to prevent payment reuse. Auto-deleted after that.
• Server logs: retained by Vercel according to their default policy (typically 1 month).
• Payment records: retained on the Gumroad side under their own policy and applicable accounting law.

We do not keep a copy of your generated reading. Once your browser session is closed, the text is gone from our side.

5. Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser may keep a temporary sessionStorage entry while you wait for payment confirmation; it is local to your browser and never sent to us.

6. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 16. Please do not use it or enter someone else’s birth data without their consent.

7. Your rights

Depending on your country (e.g., GDPR in the EU/EEA, the Personal Information Protection Act in Korea, the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Because we keep almost nothing beyond the 24-hour Redis entry, most requests amount to telling us the email and sale ID so we can purge it on the spot.

8. International transfers

The processors listed above are based primarily in the United States. By using the Service you understand that your data is transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page is the current effective date.
